Here is something less exhausting
what I'm asking to keep on going but not in a sleep-living kind of way; just a hope-full message for us
“I don’t believe we’re hateful. I think mostly we’re just asleep. But the math adds up the same.” -
oh yes… maybe we are so exhausted because we are sleeping through life and slipping farther and farther away from the beauty that is still calling out to us.
stay in beauty with me, dear friend.

Hi friends, how are you doing?
It’s going towards the end of the day here in Italy and I’m sitting on my favorite bench under my favorite tree, and everything’s still… even the birds stopped singing. I guess they went to bed. And the colors in the sky are changing and there’s a light breeze.
I’m feeling so grateful, so grateful just to have moments like this for myself. So many times, we take them for granted - those brief moments when we can just sit in silence.
There is so much intensity in the world right now, this weird vibe that’s being forced upon us - at least it seems. I speak to friends all over the world and everyone seems so tired, so exhausted. And this intensity feels so imminent, so right in our own yard. And in a way it is… because we have constant access to information - too much, too much for our hearts and our minds to process all the time. So it’s really important to take moments like this… like this one I’m having right now with you. And to remember this gratitude.
You know the world is affecting all of us
so much.
And we can say, I am fine and I can keep going, but it’s really important to understand that we can’t know what is real and what is not real anymore, and um… it affects us.1
So what do we do?
What do we do when we’re feeling tired and we have this desire to keep going and to keep our vibe high, and cultivate our own vibe without falling victim to the vibes around us?
Well, something I do is I sit, take moments like I’m having now, and I’ll enjoy the silence. And I ask myself questions. And you know I’m big on that… the questions.
I think many of you are as well.
And so one of the questions I’ve been asking myself - it’s kind of of a reminder - I ask myself, what is working in my life right now? What is working in the world right now? And I start formulating a list… and the list goes on and on and on.
There’s so much working right now. With everything not working, there’s still so much working. And it’s important to recenter ourselves, bring ourselves back into balance - the good with the bad.
And then maybe I ask myself, what is my truth? What is the truth for me right now? What do I trust?
What do I trust?…
I trust my heart. I trust moments like this. I trust the birds, some of them are chirping again. I trust the colors in the sky and so much more.
So what do you trust?
The holidays are approaching us and maybe you trust HOPE, because the holidays feel more hopeful - for some, not all people. I know people who really dislike the holidays. There’s too much pressure (to be jolly and giving and organized and social).
But we don’t have to put pressure on ourselves. We can just do what we can do (and trust that it will always be enough, especially for those who love you) and feel what we can feel (may we keep feeling please). And trust ourselves…
and this could be hopeful.2
Hope is like gold; it’s a precious resource. But unlike gold, we can create it and we can share it and we can use it to hold one another.
So for the next month, I am going to be sharing little bits of gratitude, reminders to be grateful. And maybe we can end this year a little bit less tired, a little bit more hopeful, and extremely connected with one another. This is all I have to share today.
I hope you take a moment for yourself, take a breath. Listen to the sounds around you, find that pleasant sound. If it’s not on the outside, go within. There’s always the beating of your heart and that soft sound of your breath. Maybe you’ll find hope there. Sending you so much love.
And connect with me. Let me know what your grateful for today. Let me know what’s working in your life. Let me know your truth - what do you trust right now?
(I do hope that this space is on your list.)
Have a beautiful rest of your day. bye bye. xo Danni
Ps formulate your what’s working list and let it go on and on and on.
Pps 30 days of gratitude - how does pumping up our practice together sound?
some of my favorites this week
and if you missed these
trying to evaluate it all all the time is exhausting in itself (besides all of the rest). The side effects feel like overdosing on sleeping zombie pills. Instead of asking what is real, we can refocus our attention on what feels real inside of ourselves.
Proof that we are still sensationally human - humans who feel it all - this is always a beautiful source of Hope.

Thank you, Danni, for inviting us into this beautiful moment of stillness that you enjoyed—and the reflection that followed 🤍 I could feel the Italian late-afternoon warmth as I listened :)
And I am grateful for you linking to my letter here—and more so to know that you found it valuable!
