This 👆, this is why I have hope. Knowing there are others who want to see change, who imagine the world as a better place, that's why I'm hopeful. Darkness can't literally exist where there's light. I've had conversations with people who I never thought would choose love, become wise. And with people who've spent their lives being harsh, suddenly becoming gentler. It shocked me at first, but it gives me hope that even though there's so much evil, wars and darkness, love is spreading among us too. And a room can't be lit and dark at the same time, it can only be transformed from being dark, to light. That's what gives me hope. Thank you for sharing your hope and the reminder of our own responsibility in living life aligned with the world we want to see. I believe it means far more than we can imagine 🙏🌻
Julia, it means so much to share these emotions and dreams. In the end, maybe this is the better world we are seeking. I sometimes think that we will always be able to survive what hard the world is offering as long as we remain connected with others. You are right there is so much love out there and even in the least expected places. Everything is either an act of love or a call for love. Where we cannot see the love there is fear. And the better world requires us to give out more love and hope here. Radical responsibility and connection - our gentler rebellion, softer than the protesting, but not weaker. As long as we stay connected to others and share our hope, I absolutely agree that we can survive anything. Even though love might be a gentler way to make a difference, I also believe it is definitely not any less powerful. Making an impact doesn’t need to be forceful.
