Danni, loved and appreciated every word of this @ especially; “My okay is more like I am Really here. I am super aware of everything that I am feeling. I can stay with this. I will remember to breathe whenever necessary and as often as I need to.” That is no ordinary ‘okay,’ that is everything and it comes after a lot of inner work. Sending you lots of love & look forward to connecting for a call soon,💗💗
Amy, you absolutely get me. It is the beautiful result of so much inner work, devotion to this life (which I know that we share). Thank you so much for seeing and sharing this inner work with me. I love you. I am so grateful for your presence. xo
It's so true, that the only way out is together. I love that. Thank you for slowing things down with us, and reminding us that this moment is all that really matters 💙
This is your life. This here is mine. So precious. May we always remind each other. Together is the way bc alone we are too darn forgetful. Love you. Happy birthday to your beautiful boy. Will be feeling your celebration. xo
Some stops aren't failures. They're sacred pauses. The heart knows when to pull the emergency brake before the soul misses its own exit. Thank you for putting words to something so many of us quietly carry. 🤍🍵
Stopping, slowing down is never a sign of failure when it is done with the intention of caring for ourselves. ‘…before the soul misses its own exit.’ Love this. Thank you Belinda. xo
Danni, your distinction between being fine and being fully present inside “okay” gives this real-time letter its center. The emergency break becomes the moment you stop asking love to erase distress and begin creating enough inner steadiness to stay with what has arrived. Your return to your husband carries the same lesson relationally: protection can become presence when fixing gives way to accompaniment. Thank you for letting readers witness the practice while it was still warm and for making shared safety feel like something we build through breath, honesty, and attention.
Kevin, you always ‘get it’ so good and this is a beautiful quality of yours. You listen, you see, you feel. I do my best to not write in theory. I want to share what is real, raw at times. It feels like an offering of freedom for everyone who pauses to stay in this space with me. We can be this too. The need to take a break, to remember to rest, repair, reset… this is something that can feel loving and joyous. Every time we do this we are experiencing a moment of awakening. We can feel pride instead of shame, strength, not weakness. I share my living practice. And my life, a whole life, filled with many, many, many holes and just as much light shining through. The light is not what happens to us, but us showing up with an authentic heart over and over again. Only love today friend. xo
Danni, “living practice” names the authority beneath this kind of writing. The page arrives while the lesson is still being lived, becoming one of the places where rest, repair, and awakening are chosen in real time. The holes give the light its passage, showing how authenticity can become generous before life feels complete. Thank you for trusting us with a life still in motion and for making freedom feel companionable, lived, and shared.
The simple, short lines are always the most impactful. I love this too. I no longer do beige so I have cut the word fine out of my vocabulary. Actually, if I know a person is going to answer me with the word fine, I no longer ask them how they are! Because it means absolutely nothing. Authenticity is hot pink and electric blue and gold! Love to you today. xo
Sending a hug your way, Danni, and appreciation for your candor, vulnerability, and wisdom. Also the strength to continue to be who you are, in all of your being. Blessings!
Susan, thank you so much. Sharing is so therapeutic. And knowing that I can be myself. Trusting myself and this space. But really at this point, I feel like there is no other choice for me. Anything less is too exhausting (I have enough exhausting in my life and I think most can relate) and not deserving of us. I want to show all of me to encourage others to do the same. To remind myself how good it feels when we put down the performance. It feels so much better in our bodies no matter what the response is from others. The response doesn’t really make a difference when you are grounded in your authenticity and how essential it is for you to create beauty with the less beautiful. So grateful for you. Love and more love. xo
I think when we get to the point of being ourselves, we are capable of almost anything in life. It's so healing to embrace our whole selves, warts and anxieties and all, and find that others not only understand, but applaud. Much love to the whole of you!
Yes to all of this. I used to think that I should have been able to get here sooner. I don’t think this anymore. Thinking that we need to get somewhere sooner is a huge part of what we need to let go of. We soften and release when we soften and release. You cannot rush it so better not force it. For some it comes quicker, for others a slow leak to clean loving. The timing is always right. Much love right back. xo
